June, I was invited to participate in Social Photography: Art In Progress. It is a group project exploring new forms of using social media, a hybrid of installation and physical gallery space instigating meaningful dialogue about art in the age of online sharing. Glad to be a part of it!

Just took down the last of my Fall 2013 exhibits.
"Prior to Autumn" was up on the 4th floor of Bass Concert Hall from
November 4th through January 12th of this year.

I also had images from Port-au-Prince, Haiti and a couple from a series on the now extinct Lovejoys on exhibit at Soma Vida. Initially up for the East Austin Studio tour on November 16, 2013 but stayed on view through this last week.

Had a great time participating in the ever-growing East Austin Studio Tour. Spending the day chatting with passers by, art lovers of all sorts and fellow presenters was great.

Just returned from Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Very proud to have shot for the teachers of Joyner elementary school and the Convoy of Hope. They are an aid organization of the highest quality, working to feed and assist those in need worldwide.

One of the images I made during the DAH Loft workshop last fall is showing at the annual Austin Museum of Art/Arthouse 5x7 Exhibition.
Up April 6th through the 22nd.

February has been a wonderfully busy month!
Here's a quick run through:

-Volunteered and participated in the Texas Photo Round Up. Awesome event and portfolio review put on by ACP and ASMP.
-Helped produce this year's Austin Slideluck Potshow IV, held at CTC Garden ...fantastic venue. Was so happy to be asked to help out and we had an incredible team headed up by Ben Sklar. All went off without a hitch!
-Was chosen as an attendee for TEDxAustin Conference: Beyond Measure, full of movers and shakers of Austin. The day was an incredible overload of inspiration.
-And lastly, on Feb 29th my slideshow 'Entangled' will be presented at The University of the Arts (my Mom's Alma Mater) in conjunction with Slideluck Potshow Philly II.

On January 26, 2012 I will have art in the ASH Insights Art Show & Sale silent
auction at the Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center. The event will
be from 6-9pm and will raise funds to improve the quality of life for patients
at the Austin State Hospital. Hope to see you there!

Gave my very first Artist Talk at Sendero Studio's Monthly Review hosted by Jon Shapley and Emily Ng. It was a great experience and I always look forward to events and workshops hosted there.

I was very honored to be one of twelve chosen to participate in the 'At Home' with David Alan Harvey workshop. Taking place in Brooklyn, each attendee spent the week dispensing some serious blood, sweat and tears producing an in-depth photo essay. We were counseled by many extraordinary individuals in the business throughout the week, as well as the venerable Mr. Harvey of course.
To say the least, it was the most exciting and memorable week of my life. We ended this adventure with a presentation to leading industry professionals and practitioners introduced by Christopher Anderson and Bruce Gilden ...wow.

Just returned from attending Look3 in Charlottesville, Va.
An incredible gathering of artists and journalists from around the globe.
Will truly cherish the experience for all time ....until next year :)
